On Thursday I tried out my back with some light DL's. No pain, 85-90% healed seems like.

Now on to a new cycle, this time with some 1-on-1 online training.

Push/pull assessment
1. Press 80x1 (heavy single)
2. Push-press 80x9 (to failure)
3. DOH row 80x20 (to form breakdown)
4. DUH row 80x13 (to form breakdown)

Well done on the events you performed solidly on. I know nothing about jelly legs phenomenon, so can't be of any help there.

Thanks Wayne. I think it's just poor nutrition on the day. Very frustrating in any case.


Today:

1. DL 5x2x200. Felt good, decent speed.

2. RDL 3x8x140. Solid but challenging.

3. Sandbag to shoulder 90ish kg 2x30s (3 reps/5 reps). A bit slow on the first set. More aggressive on the second.

4. Toes to bar 3x8

1. DB overhead 52kg 10x1 EMOM. Put in some pauses at the rack, catch and lockout to work on ingraining proper positions.

2. Seated OHP 3x8x55

3. Chest supported row 30kg DB +FatGripz 3x8. Setup was a bit awkward, but it worked.

4a. Band pull aparts 3x12
4b. Hammer curls 3x12x20kg
4c. Incline rear delt raises 3x12x10kg

1. Paused FS 90-105-120x5.

2. Step ups to 12" box 3x8/legx100.

3. Yoke squat up to 140x3, 160x3.

4. Sanbag bear hug carry 75-80kg x 104m in 95s.

1. Axle clean once and split jerk 79x3, 89x3, 94x3, 99 3x1. Jerk still meh, but no problem handling the weight.

2. Log clean once, push-press up to 75x3, 85x3.

3a. Pullups +7.5 kg 3x8
3b. KB bottom-up press 16kg 3x10
3c. Face pulls 3x20
3d. Seated lat raises 7.5kg 3x15

Current state of affairs, including a shameful last minute switch to semi-sumo pulling due to bilateral high hamstring tendinitis. I'm in my second year of moving back to a 50/50 cardio and strength focus, and both the strongest I've ever been at this bodyweight and the weakest I've been since 2013. Tongue

Since I'm going to have to youtube stuff for my coach I might post again once in a while, but it's mostly going to be superlight weightlifting drills so I may stick to lurking.

Sometimes not at all for a few months, then more regularly for a while. I spotted some quality PaulSavage drama Grin and there's always someone lifting something massive, but I just don't have the time.

Pretty impressive, especially considering your new BW and I'm guessing crazy levels of cardio?
