Hell fire!

He doesn't even look that massive either. Certainly not Hixxy big.

Hopefully Mr Hicks will be able to break this at his next comp anyway Happy

Daniel bell is enormous. over 400lbs bw.
There's a pic of him stood next to malanichev and he dwarfs him.
He's just not as jacked as some of the other SHW.

Mr Hall would have killed the record if he had of focused on one prep following WSM

And I do mean KILLED IT!

Ah well, I guess being the first man to lift half a tonne and a WSM isn't bad Tongue

What would he have deadlifted without straps?

I'm sure, if he thought he was able to have broken the ATWR, Hall would have.

But, he has - thus far - not.

He just wouldn't. There is nothing to back up the idea that ed could pull big without straps.

Are you guys serious?

You think with some deadlift prep without straps, he wouldn't pull at least 430? Even 420?

Would he at his strongest bench any less than 290-300?

I love Hixxy, but if he can squat 440, then surely Hall would do least the same with a solid few months prep

I'm entirely serious.
As individual lifts I'd suggest he wouldn't be a million miles away from 1200kg. But stringing them all together in a few hours, i just don't see it.

Eds big lifts were all done fairly fresh. Couple fatigue with the fact his grip was never the best and i really doubt he had 1150 in him.

100% in agreement

I doubt a powerlifting comp is near as hard as completing a brutal strongman comp

The guy dominated the Brits for years and won Worlds

It doesn't matter now anyway, as Graham will break it soon enough!!

Really? He just doesn't look that way, although I appreciate have some context to someones size would help.

Agreed. No doubt Hall is a monster, as are many other strongmen, but I think it’s unfair to the elite level powerlifters to say that strongmen could just come in and break the world records.

As of recent, two top level strongmen (Thor and Hicks) have competed in powerlifting and not broken the record. Could they with more training? Perhaps... but then surely they have become powerlifters and no longer strongmen who’ve just done a powerlifting comp.

You can’t do multiple powerlifting competitions and not be classed as a powerlifter.

I am pretty sure he is just going to break his record again rather than someone else breaking it. I can see his deadlift and squat both going up by 20kg each.
