Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22044 posts | I enjoyed that account About 15 years ago I had a weird text messaging experience. I sent a text message. I don't recall the content, but it was a message of some detail seeking a response of some detail. As it was in the process of sending the reply arrived! I was completely baffled, because the recipient would have had to read my message, ponder their reply, compose their message and then send it. The reply perfectly matched my enquiry and couldn't possibly have been sent without first reading my message. Both messages were of some length (multiple sentences). Yet, seemingly the 2 messages crossed in transition. I remember thinking that what had happened was impossible, and the only explanation I could think of was some weird space/time effect. I hope you enjoyed this account

Surely it was just sent immediately, and whilst you thought it was in the process of sending the recipient read the message, composed their reply and sent it?

I was meaning the 2(?) second delay between pressing send and being told that it had been sent. The reply arrived during that interval. Trust me, it was impossible!

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17870 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Monday, 25th November, start 16:00 Bench, very raw 20 x 15 20 x 15 20 x 15 50 x 5 60 x 5 70 x 3 80 x 3 90 x 2 100 x 2 110 x 1 115 x 1 120 x 1 125 x 1 The 120 was harder than expected and the 125 easier than the 120. I never much cared for bench and I doubt if I ever will. Close grip 60 x 8 70 x 8 80 x 8 90 x 8 Not many down tonight, but it was fun. Mack and Haydn lifted well and were foolish, Handsome Jeff contributed to the foolishness and to the lifting, I just contributed to the foolishness.

Did you ever tell someone to show you proof of something they claimed possible when they were trying to indiscreetly show you the secret? You see some information was not obtained so easily as to just throw it out there?

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17870 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Wednesday, 27th November, start 16:20 Last time, a fortnight ago, I stopped after one set at 160 as the hip was creaking, during that time the ribs in the rear on the right have ached but all seems well tonight, so here we go. Squats, tracky bottoms rather than the singlet as it's cold, boots and sleeves, no belt 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 60 x 3 70 x 3 80 x 3 90 x 3 100 x 3 110 x 3 120 x 3 130 x 3 140 x 3 150 x 3 160 x 3 160 x 3 160 x 3 The hip was fine up to 130 and then it started to creak ever so slightly. On putting down the 150 I got a sudden hot pain in my lower back that lasted for a few seconds and then disappeared. The pickup was fine as was the walkout and the three reps and the walk back in, it was just as the weight came off me that it happened. It also occurred on each of the 160s, the last of these three sets was a lovely thing marred only by this annoying pain. As it is the last Wednesday of the month it is Physio night so I told the man my tale and he decided it was the hip tendon, much banging and pushing later all seems much better. But we will only truly find out in a fortnight. Early indications seem favourable but I will keep you posted.

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17870 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Yesterday's physio was more brutal than I thought. On the plus side tying my shoes this morning was much easier but I am sore, it is highly likely that the soreness will fade and the flexibility will remain. No complaints, more surprised than anything.
