I've never been anything other than sober. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing.

Its a very good thing to be sober.

I had been looking forward to this comp for ages and hoping to crack a 600kg total that looked very doable in August but the closer the comp came the busier I got with work. Training opportunities diminished when I did make it to the shed sessions were lacklustre. the week before I was on the road each day driving working driving culminating in a very soggy 6 hour round trip to my nephews wedding on the Saturday. Sunday morning woke up very tired and snotty I should of stayed in bed.... but I drove over to Lincoln weighed in 97kg I was very hot and lethargic in the warm up room went out to squat

180 good lift
200 good lift (very tough was planning on 210 for 3rd but after this went down)
205 failed 2-1 depth ( was a surprise because I am sure I felt my arse touch the floor Tongue )

Bench

155 good lift (tough)
162.5 failed at lock out
That was enough for me I packed up and went home and watched the rest of the comp from the comfort of my settee.
Not exactly spitting my dummy out more the case of "I should of listened to my body when groaning my way out of bed"

2 days rest then off to Ashington to run the platform for 5 days at the British juniors some great talent we have coming through followed by a whirlwind trip To Haggis land, back south to Centre parcs. Now home for some training hopefully can make it onto "rack height floor" for my next comp.

Mr JT I would write you a programme until the end of time if you could find me one of your logs Tongue

In fact I would do absolutely anything for one of your logs if you have one somewhere! Good to see you're still lifting mate

There's one sat in a gym in Colchester that has been stolen off me. Feel free to acquire it via intimidation/force!

I keep getting requests but I have no desire to make any more.

However I would happily spend a day with "a body" showing them how for a suitable renumeration.

I would even sell my welder etc.

There was one on Facebook a little while back for £120. Maybe I should buy them back and sell on at a premium!!

I'd be no use at welding haha there's some other good ones about but none are as good as yours which is very annoying now they're all more expensive with less quality

20 minutes today nice and steady 2.15 pace 18spm

Apart from bottom aches not too bad

if I can manage a week I will get a heart rate kit and a programme with some goals (Smash Boar?) all my pbs seem a very long way off.
