Some people where I trained when I was young bent bars. Slamming everything over scared to step up. I visualized and somehow felt the same way!

If you can access a hunderd pound plate for hone use plate presses standing high reps 3x per week. 50 to 80 reps hold on clean it place on top of head and press away. Great when time is crunched. Hope all is well wildman??

My flexibility isn't what it used to be - for example, now I can't do Tuesdays.

But on a serious note, wrestlers are perhaps the supreme athletes in terms of the mixture of strength, flexibility, endurance, explosive power and balance.

Monday - went to the gym.

Did cambered bar squats against purple bands.

Squat rack was slightly leaning to one side. Never noticed that before.

Bands shot off twice halfway up.

Took it as a sign from God. Gave up after four working sets.

Did some overhead press holds. Upper back feels weak.

Ho hum.

Decided to start AMH Power's new program - very generously donated free of charge, on the Training and Training Videos Forum.

Because I am a special snowflake, I decided to do SSB Squats, Strict Press and Deadlift (rather than squat, bench, deads).

This was pretty humbling. Might have been a bit tired after yesterday's near death squatting experience/overhead axle holds.

Need to up my conditioning.

SSB Squats:

105kg x 9
97.5kg x 9
97.5kg x 8
97.5kg x 9

Strict Press:

47.5kg x 8
45kg x 7
45kg x 7
45kg x 6

(These felt very, VERY hard after squatting.
Reps were way down on what I expected.
Time to do some sled pulls and sledgehammer work.)

Couldn't face Good Mornings, so.....

GHRs: 8 x 3 sets.

Rotator Cuff Stuff.

As time goes by and odd things like the rubber band incident happen I take it also as a sign. When I was reading today felt back can yank so I did but unsure thoughts can hurt you

I was OK. Luckily.

It pinged right off the bottom.

New program, new gains.
