3 days of heats then no rest into a 5 event 1 day final sounds brutal.

Higher risk of injury to the athletes which obviously the wsm guys think is better tv plus they pay for less days. Win win for them.

I don't think it's being done for TV. I think they are actually encouraging people to come and watch it live. A more condensed contest will actually work well for a lot of the athletes as they won't have to try and get weeks off work at short notice.

Awfully pessimistic view based on absolutely no evidence.

You can never really have evidence but you don't consistently send 400lb men to extremely hot and extremely humid conditions to do maybe the most extreme contest in the world unless you don't care about there well being. This almost guarantees the athletes cannot be properly hydrated, hence the massive amount of tears and injuries. It's hard enough in regular conditions. I also recall of it costing a lot of money to hire the camera equipment each day.

Interesting, would be much better in terms of warming up, if they got time to anyway, but doing it like the CrossFit games over multiple days with all athletes and more events would be way better viewing and more accurate to who's the best too.

Was Terry not invited or just declined his invite?

No he hadn't but you don't need to have qualified to get an invite.
