Someone asked his coach what he thinks he will deadlift at the Arnold’s today during a ‘Q and A’ and he said 501kg

There's $50k for it so zero chance if him not going for 501.

But if he gets injured the prize money lost would be about $200k.

All the casual fans seem to think Eddie pulled 500 on a regular gym bar, not a deadlift bar with plenty of whip that had a lot of bend at that weight (looked to be 15" or so before the full weight comes up). They also don't seem to know he had a suit on or even know what one is.

500kg on the elephant bar raw is 100% harder than 500kg suited on a deadlift bar.

He could get injured warming up though, its strongman. You can't play safe all the time, its an extreme sport and pulling 501kg would give him a lot more than 50k (other than glory) too as it would be all over the internet and there's ways he will make money from that.

I think he will go for it and get it.

Kevin Oak - 363kg beltless squat.

(100% harder than with a belt)

His 465kg actually looked really good, no hitching. 485ish at the Arnold I predict.

Thor will.probably win, but Brian will push him.

He pulls slower than Thor, but his lock out strength is insane.

His log looks GOOD also.

Thor is the man to beat, but there is life in the old dog yet.

Brian is the sort of person who could come back and win it all.

Shaw's setup is easier...using bumpers where Thor is using powerlifting plates. So Thor still favourite.

But Shaw should still pull something huge.

I don't see Caron near if hamstring injury was legit, don't see Licis near either.

Pritchett will look good, but unsure his body will hold up past 1000lbs.
