I wasn't even properly training in those days. I saw an advert in a local newspaper and did the Anglian Open in Colchester (all 3 lifts) with untrained legs! I think that bench comp was my second comp. During my lacklustre dabbling with powerlifting I met a guy who wanted to start strongman and we started training together. Things went from there Happy

My back is too injury prone these days. I suppose I could do bench only, but I struggle to get excited about bench and I'd be fearful of shoulder injury. Maybe Grin

Only had 3 hours of sleep last night (due to work) and wasn't feeling very motivated.

Years since I've done this. After much farting around trying to get the set-up right (s**tty little bench positioned in the rack) and some messy lifts, the best thing I did was...
