Agreed, only reason I put 2 instead of 1 is to give Ray the benefit of adding say 20kg on his deadlift.

Big gap between 1000 to 1100 but I agree in principle...

I agree, but plenty of time and weight to gain (if he wishes)!

There are two great talents currently competing in powerlifting from the UK. Luke is one and Tom is the other. Tom will join him and Sam soon in the 1000 club.

I hope Nachocheny (spelling) continues to improve...with guys like them, Pena etc there is a great bunch of SHW youngsters coming through (indeed, some are already there Happy ).

Im not sure it would help mate. Cant fight age, sooner or later Luke is likely to topple most powerlifting records.

Be happy with what you done Sam. Luke and Tom are going well past 1000 in the near future.

Because it was mission accomplished. He wanted a thousand plus and got it and he had taken the one British record that he didn't already have - the bench.

I believe that a third deadlift would have been an unofficial world record if successful but would not have counted as it was only a National event, so he is saving that for the next international where it will count.

If I'm correct, that seems a very sensible approach

You've answered a question Mr Pete, but not the one asked Happy

If Luke decided to 'supplement' he would hold the overall record in no time. He might get it anyway!

Phenomenal lifter!

The deadlift for me does not look as tough as many have made out? Slows a little but wasn't a grind?
