I'm not currently zerchering. I was having back trouble, plus I have this arm injury, so I've switched to front squats which don't aggravate anything.

42 next month. Its more the kids family and work that hold training back. Which is compounded by then getting older and not having the same durability to it all. Ohh and niggling injuries et al.

Still f**k it what you going to do? Give in?

Never!

Spoken like a gentleman.

Of course we keep going but it does get more difficult. It amuses me when people in their twenties tell me that "age is just a number" and saddens me when I realize that I'll be dead when they find out just how wrong they were.

Happy

I find I suffer more injuries (i am 40). So need to be smarter with training. Haven't PBd in years but that's due to family and work. On the flipside I am stronger and in better shape than most blokes my age.

Packing in has never been on the agenda!
Think I just had a s**t month or so with no energy. Never happened before in 25 years of training as far as I can remember. Anyway, getting back into it and training is going better again. Still jealous of those of you managing PBs though! Maybe if I ate myself back up to 100kg I'd have more chance. Or if I went back to a sedentary job.

A visit to sterons for the win?

They say it doesn't help much. Just helps you recover faster. And it's safe too! They say.

That's why I've never visited.
I'd end up like a bigger Ronnie Coleman within a few weeks and wouldn't wanna go back. (To being white!)

Very true. I recently had a 19 yr old university power lifter tell me my squats would improve if I upped it to 3 times a week, I could only sigh if only, smile and thank her for her advice. I wondered if I would still be around by the time she got to my age of 51

Exactly. I have four decades of experiencing the effects of ageing on lifting. It's very kind of a 19 year old to tell me I'm wrong. Ah well such is life -

"The older I get the more I recall, how little I knew when I knew it all"

So true, so very true
