matthewvc said:The difficulty in getting TRT in this country is another example of how male-specific health takes a distinct back seat (women get estrogen replacement with little hassle). This is despite a whole raft of health issues associated with chronically low testosterone. The difference is enormous between here and US, where testosterone (and gh) are prescribed like candy to older men, even those without any real hypogonadism but just looking to feel youthful again.

I agree. Watched a couple of documentaries where TRT does not seem to carry the stigma it does here. I know it’s self inflicted but it would be good to be able to have a sensible dialogue with a doctor.

Oh that’s why. When I compete everyone in my weightoutclaased looks so much larger than me. I always ask my opponents how are you so built. Oh I guess they added more weight to an event. Oh no veggie to them it’s only a little more weight it’s light they say. Oh well. Compete against yourself or find a reliable demon to get you some big poison and feel better when they tabulate your totals.

Nice one. My brother teaches chemistry and maths. He likes teaching.

If I had of behaved at school, I think I would of liked to teach.

I'm rubbish at maths had to work really hard, had a tutor and managed to earn myself B Gcse. I can't remember most of it and have considered enrolling in a refresher course because as I get older I honestly find it fascinating.

Since my last comp in august last year ive transitioned from a 24 stone roidsmith to clean and still 24 stone.

Ive lost no weight not a single biscuit. And before a horrendous car crash in june i was still deadlifting 300+KG and benching 140kg for reps.

It wasnt easy. And i did crash HARD. I had to use a specific route of PCT. (Which seeing as our Overseer Rich pointed out rules ill leave out details) But.... it worked. I look a bit softer and my traps no longer touch my ears.
No more pip is nice and i dont sweat out a shirt before ive left the house anymore.

Id probably go back on one day. Who knows!

Plenty of far more serious conditions that don’t attract such stigma are very much ‘self inflicted’ in terms of poor lifestyle choices:

Type 2 diabetes, high BP, cardiovascular disease, Lung/oesophageal cancers, cirrhosis, pancreatic disease and so on.

Even so, plenty of men with no history of steroid use simply suffer from age related hypogonadism (aka male menopause). Considering how cheap test is (legit pharma grade production costs, not big rory’s supplies from ‘getjacked labs’ Grin) it’s nonsensical given the increased risk of other costly conditions in later life as a result of chronically low testosterone levels.

Credit to you and it obviously shows it can be done and my fears are very likely unnecessary.

The end to random sweating sounds a very decent side of clean training!

Never too late, I’ve just switched to teaching following 12 years doing something very different. Daunting but worth it.

Having the testosterone of 10 men injected weekly is "off"?

I had a dabble, but nowhere near 20ml a week, more similar to your "i'm now clean" dosage. Side effects? I am now weaker, less hungry, and don't spank the monkey about 3 times a day. Only 2 now.

Apologies if it came across wrong, wasn’t claiming to be clean now just not as stupid as I was. Sides when stupid included feeling ill all the time, wasting all my money and having a stroke.

I came 3rd at a novice competition though and won a 15 quid bag of protein so it was all worth it.
