I'd love to have Ronda grapple with me.

No mercy sir!

Personally I would do 'just enough'. I think I'd have to be in a life threatening situation to start gouging eyes etc. I don't really have any anger/aggression within me.

I hope you never got into a life threatening situation. Did you ever? I catch myself just sitting, standing etc... and bad stories of vilolinent things broken glass pixelated then I come back to reality heart beating like if you haven’t been in a comp for over a year and you are on deck but scarier.

Just wondering if you were getting beat down and dude is ready to curb stomp you, would your old lady try to attack the attacker who is thumping you? High heel shoes are amazing.

Thankfully I've never been in a life threatening violent situation, no.

Teach kids to box.

I feel it benefits kids by:

A) Improving fitness.

B) Gets them used to a "fight" situation. Most BJJ guys I know have never been punched in the face.

C) All fights start standing up

D) Kids, even boxing kids, can't hit each other all that hard. But hitting most attackers reasonably hard is enough to scare most off.

E) I worry about someone getting another kid in an arm bar, heel hook, or clock choke (and I live grappling) . A black eye is often seen as "boys will be boys" by parents. A broken arm, a dislocated ankle, or brain damage are not so easily brushed aside.

I am not a violent person, but I would have no problem poking some c..t in the eye or a kick down below if they attack me.

If someone attacks someone else, they deserve what's coming to them.

I'm a particularly soft/gentle/fluffy type.

It's hard to accurately measure someone's online persona to how they most likely behave in real life

But it is quite clear to me, that you are not the aggressive type and are most likely gentle.

This.

Also, all responses are situation dependant. I like to think i got more than 1 gear change.

Also, We all know some local idiot who over reacts to everything right?...over bering parenting and door mat parenting screwed him right up...

Moreover, be firm but kind to your kids...swearing at them makes you look like a total complete f**ktard Wink

these are good points. although personally, for kids, I would avoid combat sports with a higher risk of head trauma. for that reason I would go with judo. gives a good base of strength, body awareness and being able to spar regularly with a lower risk of brain injury. you can usually steer a street fight from striking to grappling if you know what you are doing and your opponent doesnt and if you can get them to the ground it gives you time to escape or for help to arrive.
