Another stonker mate, blitzing it all over the place again. I like the deadlift rows, may well use them while my hook grip beds in.

Another great training session today...still just enjoying things and getting some work in.

18" Deadlifts

60kg x 10
100kg x 10
140kg x 10
180kg x 5
220kg x 1
260kg x 1
300kg x 1
320kg x BELT BLOW OUT!!
320kg x 1 PB
340kg x 2 PB

Been wanting to try out 18" deads again for a while as not done in ages. 310kg was my old best which I knew was long gone but wanted to see where I was at. Loaded 320kg the first time and the lever on my strength shop belt blew out! Kinda glasd it did it at that point and not midway through the pull though! Borrowed my belts prong belt which I couldn't get right, was way too loose but it was enough. Pulled 320kg again easily so loaded 8 plates a side and did a double with 340kg. Physically can't fit anymore plates on now which is really annoying. I guess my max is between 350-360kg. Anyways, just a bit of fun. Annoyed with that buckle though...missus is sending me hers to use for now so i'll be set next week again.

Squats

60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 3
180kg x 3 paused the 3rd
205kg x 2
180kg x 2

Squats still feeling a little alien but moved ok considering, never my best lift but they are coming back slowly.

Isometric Deads Supersetted With Speed Deads

5 rounds of 180kg x 5 Seconds Iso Deads and 2 reps with 160kg

Still feels utterly brutal, I go into the pins steady then increase power pulling through the bar and the while of my back just feels fried when I finish. The Speed deads feel like nothing. Will persevere with these as it feels like its doing something worthwhile.

Maxle Deadlift

90kg x 1
130kg x 1
150kg x 1
155kg x 1 = pb
160kg x f,f

Done for a laugh with my mate...155kg still seems my cut off, got 160kg to the waist twice but grip goes. Only a bit of fun anyways. Did a 40kg one arm barbell snatch after too for not particular reason.

Seated Hamstring Curls

95kg x 12 rep pb
100kg x 8 rep pb
95kg x 10
95kg x 7
95kg x 6

Banged out quickly and hamstrings just blew up, struggled to walk after.

And that was that ran out of time today but was great fun....aprt from buckle blowing up on belt! Enjoying no pressure training at the moment Happy

Vids

I have a lever belt from big Ben products the first week the lever broke I emailed them just to say that I think the lever maybe a bit brittle in the cold not ask for a new one as I shoulder some of the blame , Anywho a few months went by and out of the blue they'd sent me a new one, and apologised and said thanks for letting them know and they'd chained the manufacture of the lever,

That's a long winded way of saying hopfully they will send you a new one lol never seen a pronge one go though yikes.Eek

Fair play mate.

This was a lever one too mate, not prong...I have had it like 4 years so a bit cheeky I guess ...the new Riot ones have a lifetime guarantee though.

Plans all drawn out for my next strength cycle...starting beginning of March...going to be pretty brutal and is going to require some serious graft but hoping I can see a 250kg Squat...200kg+ Bench and a 350kg Deadlift go.

Will be going after it hammer and tong. After the peaking cycle I will be reverting back to a more bodybuilding style set up and a hefty cut to get very lean again. All about the long term goals here with eyes on the 400kg deadlift within the next 5 years. I turn 40 in March and i want the 400kg in the bag before i'm 45.

Too many mince pies mate, strength shop lever belts are no match for Christmas Grin. Good job you got it on video, strength shop have always given me excellent customer service but video evidence always helps.

Good job on the squats, you look more comfortable than you have in the past. Looks like you have another rep in you on the 205.

Haha..probably true lol! Yes i'm going to DM them and see what they say..i doubt they will cover it but worth a try!

Squats are ok mate...was only planning on a single with 205kg...wont be long until I am back up around 220-230kg ...i'm not competing in it these days but I feel I still have to squat lol!

Very stressful morning, nearly sacked the gym off it was that bad but I went in and turned out to be a good session..

Bench Press

60kg x 10
80kg x 10
100kg x 5
120kg x 5
150kg x 7 = rep pb
150kg x 4 (3 sec pauses each rep)
dead stop bench
150kg x 1
160kg x 1
170kg x 1 PB
150kg x 3
Spoto Bench
140kg x 5 default pb
140kg x 5
160kg x 1 default pb
add bands (against)
100kg x 6 sets of 2 with 30 sec rests between.

Very decent. 150kg is my old 7 rep pb when i was at my blast peak so happy to get it in current position. Dead bench all moved nicely, old pb of 160kg flew so tried 170kg and again it moved nicely, bit more there I think..starting strength is returning well.

Spoto bench was something I've been wanting to try for a while and I like it, a great learning technique and it just feels good.

Chucked on the bands and did some speed work, moving very nicely indeed. Feels like I covered all bases here today.

Seated Behind Head Press

60kg x 10
70kg x 5
80kg x 3
90kg x 2 rep pb
70kg x 10

Feeling good still and strong too, great pump in delts.

Vertical Bench Press Machine

100kg x 10 rep pb
110kg x 7 rep pb
115kg x 6 rep pb

Strength rocketing on these and good slow negatives, hits chest very well.

Yellow Back Machine

119kg x 12 rep pb (old pb was 6)
127kg x 10 rep pb
135kg x 6 rep pb

Again strength going nutty on these...no rushed reps, slow negatives and a big squeeze at the top, love this machine, lats hit bang on.

Weighted Dips

BW + 20kg x 12
BW + 30kg x 10
BW + 40kg x 8 rep pb

Back to some nice weight on these and all very controlled to ensure no shoulder issues. I forgot how good heavy weighted dips are, chest and triceps screaming on these, love them.

Machine Preacher Curls

60kg x 10 rep pb (old pb was 6)
65kg x 6 rep pb
60kg x 8

Again I don't know where strength is coming from ...6 was brutal last week, comfy strong 10 today.

Lying Rolling EZ Extensions

20kg x 15
25kg x 12
25kg x 12

Elbow still not keen...it would seem I am unable to perform any isolation exercise for triceps without hurting elbow..very annoying.

And that was that, strong session and got home to find my lovely missus has sent me a knew lever for my belt ready for deads tomorrow.

Vid...
