I have lost approximately 50kg in weight so thinking of a way to cheer myself up
When I was 125 kg I pulled 250kg dead x1 rep twice my bodyweight
So now I am 75kg I pulled 170x2 dead which is twice my body weight and 20kg x2 reps so for my bodyweight I am stronger
This May be total bulls**t but it makes me feel a lot better about my self

I'm guessing you're probably in much better shape than you were at 125? If so I would say that's definitely a reason for you to feel better about things.

I would feel much better. You're probably weaker, going off a wilks formula, but you can build up to a good deadlift again. If you were to hit 220 plus at your new bodyweight. Even 200 plus. Then that's much better.

The important thing is your health. If you have lost 50kg, I assume you mean mostly fat.

good lord thats some weight loss at your age.

ive been moving this way since xmass myself. 8 years behind you Ive been 14/16 stone the past 15 years and have dropped to 12st 10 and seem stable.

Much more healthy. I now want to be around for my kids more than I want to be hench...

I suspect that 170 x 2 deadlift will go up when your body gets used to the shock being 75k... I will make a prediction of 200k by xmass... Wink
