they should be kept in any workout routine , nothing fancy , but the basic moves will keep you in fine fettle

especially the snatch ...the amount of snatches I did with a 24 'back then' is pretty cool ...and I know I guy that did it with a 32 !! (secret service snatch test)

I figured a fellow KB man would agree with those points.

When had issues I did pretty much nothing but the Enter the Kettlebell routine. Managed to retain pretty much all strength as a result which was splendid. so it makes me wonder if I continued to do that, but hit it properly would it increase it even more whilst keeping other elements like mobility and fitness in a better state.

Have to admit I would like to do the SSS test with a 24 and get the 200 reps I must admit, would be in a decent place then. To manage it with a 32kg one is mad, but also downright awesome Happy

What it taught me though is:-
1. I miss KB's
2. My fitness is worse after stopping doing them
3. My mobility is worse for not doing them.

Might have to get myself a KB lol

Another impressive session mate.

Cheers mate.

They are quite good for fitness with a bit of a strength element too. I think I need to keep 1 KB session if possible or at the very least try adding KB swings/snatches or ball slams at the end of workouts Happy

KB is nt something I have ever done much of...I do really rate a normal swing for dead warm ups...seems to activate and wake the glutes up very well.

To be honest I hadn't done much until back went iffy, so I had a go as I had a couple and it worked well.
Swings are good for things like that, great warm up tool as well as good for conditioning etc.

Deadlift
60kg x 10
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
straps
180kg x 5 went well
210kg x 5
210kg x 5
210kg x 5
These went really well. The 180 was better than expected, so I juged main weight off that, was planning on 3x5 with 200-210 depending on the 180 set, went well so 210 it was, don't think i've ever managed that weight for so many sets and reps. The last set had a good few secs between reps, but was gonna get the sods done Grin Good thing was aswell that the reps were clean. ie. no hitching

Decline Bench
40kg x 10
60kg x 10
70kg x 10
80kg x 10
90kg x 10
Awesome and still a little more there, winner Happy

Power Clean
40kg x 5
60kg x 5
75kg x 5
75kg x 5
75kg x 5
Tough, mainly as it was bloody warm!

Calf Raises
60kg x 15
75kg x 15
85kg x 15

Standing Cable Crunch
25kg x 20
25kg x 20
25kg x 20

Well I must say that was an awfully acceptable session Grin Really bloody happy with it. Deads went well and so did the benching, buzzing after it I must admit. As said above, that might be some form of weight/volume pb. Hope to get 225+ 3x5 by year end, gonna be tough, but something to aim for.

Squat
60kg x 10
82.5kg x 8
102.5kg x 8
122.5kg x 8
122.5kg x 8
Not bad, knee stiff at the start so wasn't expecting too much, but all went to plan, job done Happy

CGBP
40kg x 10
60kg x 8
72.5kg x 8
82.5kg x 8
82.5kg x 8

Seated OH DB Press
22.5kg x 10
29.5kg x 10
29.5kg x 10
29.5kg x 8
Tough, but if I remember correctly they were tough last time with 27! 29.5 is the next increment on the DBs, so will keep the weight the same till I get the 3x10!

Narrow Grip Pulldowns
40kg x 15
50kg x 15
60kg x 12

Concentration Curls
13.5kg x 10
15.5kg x 10
15.5kg x 10

Good session, squats better than expected, CGBP went well, felt strong. All good.
Now to chill, have some tea and then go up to the static tonight for a weekend in the lakes Happy Even better as the new owners of the site are having a BBQ, winner, hope it's not to sweeten us up and then they double the rates Grin
