The IPF now has quite a few approved bars ... what are everyone's thoughts on them and comparisons. I guess the bars that spring to mind currently are Eleiko PL comp and training (to spec not approved) on the upper tier and Rogue Ohio power bar as the cheapest approved I think. Has anyone used them both and what were your opinions on them.

Currently I've a SS bas***d power, SS bas***d deadlift bar, SS safery squat bar and a SS elite weightlifting bar (really a Taishan bar restickered)

The Ohio bar is excellent. Not quite as stiff as the Eleiko, but probably the next best thing considering the price point. There's a world of difference between the Ohio and the other budget bars like SS, Wolverson etc.

May as well get Rogue Ohio. Excellent bar. Around 1/3 of this cost of the eleiko bar and compares favourably to it

Got an eleiko PL comp bar on order.. in the end .. decided that rogue was too close to ss bas***d power bar and decided to take a proper step up and use it for Sunday best got a decent quote via Christian at kustom kit so thought fffff it may as well go for the best of the best ... looking at ipf approved rogue plates at some point

Well if you have the dosh why not!

As an aside not used the bas***d bar but would be v surprised if its up their with the Ohio bar which is in the same league as an eleiko.

Enjoy it!

Been pretty impressed by the SS bastaxx powr bar tbh ... it's going to be my workhorse bar .. as want to keep the eleiko in perfect condition it's going to be for deadlift only close in ... I guess it's somewhere between a Texas power bar and an Ohio (not been on an Ohio just seen footage and chats about it) ...
