I got a £20 off voucher for strength shop. I was thinking of trying knee sleeves for farmers and squats. Are 7mm much of a much or are some better than others please?

Mucho much of a much indeed, muchacho.

I have some poundshop ones, some sbd's, some 5mm rehbands and some titans - apart from how they feel, they are pretty much identical performance wise.

I've got giants pro neoprenes and rehbands, pretty similar in terms of effect but the rehbands have far greater durability. Think all 7mm sleeves feel roughly the same. Also have some double ply strength shop ones, they definitely offer more support and can actually add some weight to your squat/deadlift. I tend to only wear them in a comp though

I'd always go 7mm over 5mm, but depending on what you want them for I would maybe get smaller (so they're tighter) for squats, or normal size for moving events.

Ive just got some SBD's, but that's obviously not what you're asking about...

I've seen on Delroy Mcqueen's recent squat vids he's using the new SS sleeves. He had posted on one vid he was going to do a review of them, which I was eagerly awaiting but don't think he has yet. (got he SBD's now anyway)

The strength shop double ply ones actually feel like you get much more from them than SBDs, or STrong sleeves.

They are also 50+% cheaper!!!

Is single ply equivalent to 7mm neoprene just elastic instead of neoprene?

Yep. If your not lifting in the IPF and want some carryover from knee sleeves the 'ply' sleeves are the way forward.

I'm convinced sbds help my squat. It is probably in my head though.

I think it is. I get f**k all out of mine but sweaty knees. I really do wear them just for protection.

They will do a bit. I reckon max of 5kg out of mine, buts it's very hard to pin down a figure.
