I've started trying out knee wraps .. have some SBD training wraps. Normally squat in sleeves. Anyway wraps seem to make my legs go numb as hell in virtually no time. Any suggestions. Wearing loose to start off. Going light on weights ?? Or just does it get easier over time.

Are they really? I don't know anyone else who's used them, but I'm a little surprised/disappointed to hear that

wearing a neoprene under and/or wearing joggers will help reduce the numbing and make em more tolerable

Not really got anything to compare them against as yet ... Just got a pair of training ones when I ordered some new sleeves to make a start as they seem an easy entrance point ... At moment can't tell if they are or they aren't until I get used to wraps per se

wraps that make your legs go numb don't sound like entry level ones.
try some titan titaniums, they're quite forgiving.
wrap loose at the start, you can add an extra revolution or two as you get acclimatised to them.

Sound advice there mate.
I found wrapping over joggers allows them to slip.

Edit:unless they are those double cool zubas pants then it adds and additional 30kg to your squat AND bench

they sound like they're stiffer cast like material - like Titan THP's or APT Strangulators (a very apt name).
these are heavy wraps and designed for someone else wrapping you when 1 out, so you can waddle to the bar, squat and get them off ASAP before you develop deep vein thrombosis. my own faves are the eric lilliebridge ones made by mark bell (although eric himself doesn't use these now - prob for sponsorship reasons as much as anything). they're hybrid between cast and spring and get some decent carryover even self wrapped.

There are 2 versions I've got the training wrap which I assumed would be quite good for starting out, and are supposed to allow self wrapping. The wrap is quite thick or at least seems so nobody uses knee wraps where i train they all use sleeves, so its hard to compare, but I've got inzer zs black and red wrist wraps and the sbds knee wrap material is much thicker than those and less stretchy ...
