Finally started too train powerlifting style again after I got injured back in November 2013, I ended up slipping 3 discs in my back , I didn't train for the first year then the year after that was mainly cardio with a few weights then I finally got back into lifting weights for the past year but all high reps , I trained more like a bodybuilder , I never trained squats and deadlifts in that time just leg press, my back finally feels solid again and I feel I've managed to build up the surrounding muscles and get a full recovery so I thought it was time too get back at it!

great news !

so if you can strengthen the muscles surrounding the poor discs they can de-bulge and then are the discs good to go or have you got weak spots ?

I live in fear of slipping a disc

it was a long road back but you made it

The liquid between the discs bulged out and in time it hardens and heals , then by strengthening the surrounding muscles and training now with better form I should be okay , not had any pain yet so that's a positive start.

I wouldn't wish it on anyone , just a constant pain that didn't even go away with pain killers.

Yes mate finally ahd it feels good to be back at it again.

Some good lifting there. In your time away you've become a demon bencher. Squat looked good for more n your deadlift is strong, even with a humungous hitch. Good to see you back!

Cheers bill, I reckon there could be a 210-220 squat on a good day , deadlift is right on the limit ahd bench is the only lift I've been able too train properly , I done a lot of heavy leg press I think that helped keep a good leg strength , I was surprised too squat abd deadlift as much as I did tbh
