If we vote leave and it doesn't work, what's to stop us joining up again?

If we don vote to leave I wonder how long it will be before other countries follow suite.

If you believe that leaving will benefit the people of your country I'd say vote leave.
If you feel that it'd benefit the people of your country more to stay, vote stay.

Unity is all nice and well if it works for the people but is a pain in the ripped angus if it doesn't. I guess we just have to read as much as possible into whether the Union is worth it or not.

I sure as hell voted out on the last referendum I voted in.

is it worth the gamble

First rule of gambling is "don't risk what you can afford to lose"

Come Thursday and we don't know if we will win or lose. We don't know what we will win if we win and we don't know what we will lose if we lose.

I am a gambler but I won't gamble under those circumstances, trouble is - I have to.

We have all been put in that position my friend.
Its just a shame we have no trustworthy source of information. Im a business man and i approach much of my personal life with the same attitude as i do work, and as such It pains me to have to make a decision on uncertaintys and "whos lying to me the least"
I have my mind made up on my vote though

I think that it is also important that if you do not enjoy the status quo and want to challenge it, then people must realise that this is their golden opportunity.

Lots of complaints about standard of living yet we still voted Tory!

i have little confidence that the people of Britain will be brave this time either...

I find myself perplexed that people are holing onto their minimum wages, increased cost of living, poor prospects even with a uni education, zero hour contracts, latter and latter retirement prospects and lack of housing like its a glittering prize! Take the gamble people ffs or never complain again

Your tacit assumptions here are that EU membership is causing the problems, and that the alternative would be better. These are two huge assumptions, and neither one holds up to much scrutiny.

Well, the second assumption is in the balance.I depends on who 'we' are. eg low-paid workers or employers.

As for EU membership causing the problems, you are right there. I was going off on a tangents you see, I am an old socialist.
My main rationale is that wages are expected to RISE is we leave for the unskilled majority...Even Cameron couldn't argue against that point and attempted to gloss over it on the debate this evening. The Brexit losers will be the business leaders etc (the high wage earners that employ the rest of us. I really, really want us all to give them a nose bleed.

I'm also a lefty, but I don't agree with your analysis. To get a wage rise effect you have to assume that lack of EU immigration would be sufficient to cause wage pressure, but

a) the expected unemployment rises from a leave would more than cancel that out, especially as

b) the migration effects on low-skilled employment is at least a much from the non-EU migrants, who are significantly more likely to be un or semi-skilled.
