If you feel that it'd benefit the people of your country more to stay, vote stay. Unity is all nice and well if it works for the people but is a pain in the ripped angus if it doesn't. I guess we just have to read as much as possible into whether the Union is worth it or not. I sure as hell voted out on the last referendum I voted in.

I find myself perplexed that people are holing onto their minimum wages, increased cost of living, poor prospects even with a uni education, zero hour contracts, latter and latter retirement prospects and lack of housing like its a glittering prize! Take the gamble people ffs or never complain again Fatpete said: I am a gambler but I won't gamble under those circumstances, trouble is - I have to.

Your tacit assumptions here are that EU membership is causing the problems, and that the alternative would be better. These are two huge assumptions, and neither one holds up to much scrutiny.

I was going off on a tangents you see, I am an old socialist. My main rationale is that wages are expected to RISE is we leave for the unskilled majority...Even Cameron couldn't argue against that point and attempted to gloss over it on the debate this evening. The Brexit losers will be the business leaders etc (the high wage earners that employ the rest of us. I really, really want us all to give them a nose bleed. Rick said: Your tacit assumptions here are that EU membership is causing the problems, and that the alternative would be better. I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10032 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | I'm also a lefty, but I don't agree with your analysis. To get a wage rise effect you have to assume that lack of EU immigration would be sufficient to cause wage pressure, but a) the expected unemployment rises from a leave would more than cancel that out, especially as b) the migration effects on low-skilled employment is at least a much from the non-EU migrants, who are significantly more likely to be un or semi-skilled.
