i made my 1st stone today, used 2 patrs sand 1 part cement and added a 100g bag of cement fibres to the mix for strength ? any tips stoneman ?

sand's not the best aggrogate to use buddy ,10-13mm gravel/ballast is my choice keeps everything bonded nice an no need for fibre stuff , rapid set cement also works well you can then get 2/3 stones out of one mold in a day ??

thanks will have another go next week, as the mold opened slightly when i put the mix in, need stronger tape ! will try your mix advice ! cheers ! if i use the 10-13mm gravel do i still mix it 2 parts to 1 part cement ? thanks !

yeah the mix amount sounds fine , if ya having trouble with the tape/join opening duct tape it up well then use a rachet strap round it but only when moulds almost full !?

mark i charge £80 a stone with reductions for multiple buys your other stones were a little more as the 200kg is lead loaded

if that ever happens to 1 of my stones used under normal conditions(not run over by a tank etc etc) i would replace it free of charge

and so that should be what happens here too, geez if that was my stone id be on the phone to the guy i bought it off. "oh mate my stone broke make me a new one ill bring you the broken one back, make it properly this time "
