Should be studying, can't be arsed so thinking of stupid s**t right now.

First - how many 300kg pullers do you reckon there are in the UK? (Around 150 on the leaderboard here).

And secondly just as an arbitrary standard, what kind of powerlifting standard would = a brazilian jui jitsu black belt (generally they say it takes 10 years), doesn't really account for genetics and according to one register there are 350 BJJ black belts in the UK currently.

Just for the sake of clarity, lets say non equipped pulls - pretty much everything else goes (hitch, straps, belt ect..).

Also in serious gyms, might get a couple of guys, in London in lifting gyms I've been to, typically 2-3 people can. But could argue lifting gyms are rare, and pretty unlikely virgin active have many people who are making it.

Besides me I dont think any of the other guys are on the sugden leaderboard, maybe 1 or 2. We have 10 guys in my gym pulling 300 and we also have 40 pulling 220 or more. It's pretty cool to have that kind of gym.

Sounds pretty badass/hilarious how 300 just isn't that special there (I'm aware its quite achievable, just wasn't expecting there to be such a high concentration of members within a facility). What's the name of the gym?

I don't think you can compare it to Brazilian jus jitsu... No one gets a black belt within six months of their first time trying it, right? That happens with 300 deadlifts.

Just in terms of rarity and experience, how elite that rank is very the rest of the pack. If it's typically a 10+ year consistent training thing for average trainee, then if you took average genetics (a ridiculous thing in itself to quantify), trained em 10 years, what pull is expected.

Sure there's lots of differences, also surely there's only a handful of truly untrained people who hit 300, there's got to be some physical prep in there before, be it from other sports or some other GPP, you don't play video games all your life and rock up with that level of strength. Well maybe there's 1 or 2 people, but it's uncommon.

2000! How many heavy powerlifters or strongmen do you think there are in the UK?

Are there any non lifters who could lift 300kg? Rugby players/body builders ...? I'm guessing not.

in 6 months or so at ralls - think including me, there's 6 people out of around 25 regular/semi regular trainers pulled 300+.

Some bulls**t hitched 300 or a proper 300 are two very different feats. 300 bare handed and hitch free is pretty rare. You usually get a few at regional pl meets, but not as many as you'd expect.

Bare handed and no hitch, I bet the number is lot less than 2000.
