Cheers for that - is the chalk blocks better than powder?

Looking at the website i was considering nose tork too.
What are peoples thoughts on using this?

The chalk balls and bags (any jokes welcome) that climbers use are quite handy - the chalk's as good as any and the bag stops you getting it everywhere, whilst still getting plenty on your hands. The blocks seem to break after a while and get chalk everywhere, which defeats the point somewhat.

i prefer blocks.

the chal quality is better, it spreads on your hands in much better way than chalk balls.

chalk powder is the worst IMO - just plainly not convenient.

And chalk blocks are more hardcore and you will get immediate respect as a proper lifter when you pull out your block.

yeah, arent the blocks only like couple quid?

i think its always good to try different things and see whats best. You could even save your block chalk for comps and bigger sessions, and use chalk ball at the wanky gyms. Thats what i used to do for a while until i ran out of my chalk bag.

Makes sense - i will prob only use it on deadlifts in the gym and cant say im really arsed about getting powder on the floor etc.

Then ill invest in some blocks for then im around people that matter - i think i am prob one of the only people who train deads at my gym and its far from a leisure club.

Liquid chalk is not better. If you use that at a real gym everyone will assume you are a bender.

The gym i use it in doest allow powdered chalk, only in the powerlifting area.

The gym i train in is where andy bolton, jim nuttal and so on and so on train at, so real enough.

Apart from getting everywhere, powdered chalk ends up getting breathed in which isn't good.

Try both, or all three (liquid, ball, block) but i prefer the blocks, seems to adhere to the hands much better. Used to use the balls, but you don't get the same grip as you do with a block. Most folk at my gym put their block in a tupperware container or similar, and there's also a chalk bowl that I chuck a block or two into now and again.

Nose tork is the biz when looking for that 'slap in a bottle' when going for heavy sets/max lifts etc. I use mackenzies stuff most of the time and nose tork on 'special occasions' Happy
