I am gunning for your record Happy

I am going to try Dead lift on Friday for pretty much the first time ever not sure what weight to try first but I will probably start with some tiny number to work on my form then progress to some slightly bigger but still embarrassing low weight.

Only time I tried before was 20 years ago in my garage and biggest plates were 10kg so took ages to load bar plus I found the bar very low - will I notice a big difference using the bigger plates at the gym as getting the thing off the ground is what I used to struggle with no problem locking out? I am fairly tall and I don't feel like my legs were doing anything all back.

I never had any problems with lifting any weight squatting or leg pressing but if I go deep with squat it wreck my knees can anyone recommend some sort of wrap technology, I know people use them but not sure how to choose. I workout solo o so appreciate any advice.
