I agree with this entirely. Hard to see anything short of a career ending injury preventing him from overtaking Mariusz.

AKA the great reset Member 4056, 5206 posts | Shaw is better than Z Imo. Results back this up as well. Shaw has 2 problems. Thor and Ed. These guys are ready now.

I don't think I would say Shaw is better than Z. That's not to say Shaw isn't great - he is. Z is getting older which is probably having an impact. In 2014 I believe Shaw was 100% healthy and Z took both Arnolds and WSM. Last year Z was obviously having back issues. When healthy I think they are both pretty close and down to who is better prepared for a comp.

Please insult me further!! Member 5626, 92 posts SQ 165, BP 110, DL 210485.0 kgs @ 100kgs UnEq | AdamT said: Z wins he is healthy? Shaw wins, Z is having problems? I don't think he was saying that. He was just giving his opinion for those years. Z did have a back problem last year, that's a fact! Shaw may or may not have beaten him still!! IMO they are pretty evenly matched and as the old dogs now, it's only a matter of time before their great rivaly transfers over to Hall & Thor! Currently Shaw & Z are still ahead of these 2 and beat them regularly but they can't last forever! Strongman has never been so good IMO!!

Member 4416, 1369 posts SQ 210, BP 175, DL 240625.0 kgs @ 122kgs UnEq | Longevity is key. Shaw, injury free, looks to me easy for another 4 years of getting better and stronger. He's 32? Thor & Hall might not win for the next 4 years. Imagine that. Will they stick around? Thor has a toe out of the door. Movies pay...

End of an era. Member 4646, 1964 posts | Thor is 188kg...will be over 190kg for Arnolds. Thor at 195kg is a threat to WSM title.

Colin made a comment about him lying about his weight in the commentary for WSM '15 and said something like 'he's a good 450lbs'.

He is over 400lbs, and his weigh goes up or down depending on the comp he has... He will always come in bigger for the Arnolds than worlds. The bottom line is, the guy is a genuine mutant and he approaches strongman as a job. His dedication and desire to win can't be questioned.
