I think Wichita lineman MAY be my favorite song of alltime , but there probably are too many to pick a 'best one'

great training ed !!!

I missed out why you are using reverse bands , doesn't that just f**k it up ?

definitely too many to choose a definitive best song ever , but Wichita lineman is ace.

i'm using the reverse bands because i'm following this routine : http://www.sugdenbarbell.co.uk/forum/Component-Based-Periodiza...

the reverse bands are a bit of a pain in the arse to set up and seem a bit like ego lifting but its quite good fun to do something a little different and its always nice to follow a program , I'll run it for a 12/18 weeks and see what results I get.
current all time favourite tune:

Hi mate nice to hear from you , hope alls well! I am a yoga convert and the muay thai is just f**king ace fun.
what are you up to ? still training?

Not bad, mate. Same s**t as you probably (kids, wife, job, old age,..)

Still plugging away with training although over the last coupe of years i seemed to have been injured most of the time. I'm finally starting to actually do some stretching/rolling which seems to be helping.
To show you just what a beast i am, I pulled a massive 140 the other day followed up with a 90kg bench! What a monster!

Never tried Muay thai, but I would love to do yoga. My kids actually do it (two of them have back problems so it helps with that). Classes are so expensive though!

If I manage to stay healthy for a few more months i will probably put a journal up. The last couple of times, i fell apart pretty much as soon as I started so i will try to at least have some chance of following through before clogging up the internet any more with rubbish lifting performances!

good to hear you're still doing a bit mate , I wouldnt worry about clogging up the internet with rubbish lifting I've been doing it here since 2007 .
I cant recommend the yoga highly enough for just generally feeling good and not having so many aches and pains , I agree the classes are expensive which is why I do a video which my wife ripped from the internet Grin if you post me a memory stick I'll bung a load on it for you.

I think for the older lifter it a case of finding ways to train and stay uninjured and yoga seems to be doing that for me at the moment (plus i'm not training very heavy and only twice a week). Look forward to seeing a journal soon!

tonight:

reverse band squat 1 pink band 130kx3 140kx3 140kx3
reverse band bench press 110kx3 120kx3/3
power clean 70kx3 80kx3 85kx3 70's and 80's were snappy but the 85's were a bit ragged so ill stick in the 70/80 range for a bit.

enjoyed it tonight.

weighed myself this morning for the first time since christmas 85kg which means I've lost all of the christmas bloat.

tonight 1 hour of muay thai , bit of a rush to get there tonight and i didn't eat enough food and really struggled to get through the session ,I feel f**ked now.

thanks mate , feeling pretty good at the moment !

yesterday Muay thai 1 hour pad work kicks and punch combinations , the guy I partnered up with kicked so f**king hard my forearms are bruised today despite the pads (I'll be avoiding him next week)

tonight reverse band deadlift

172.5k 3/3/3

seated strict press 82.5k 3/3/3

tired and aching from yesterday so just did the minimum .
