I'm sure she does Jon cheers.

The plan is the Birchwood 10k in August, but if progress is more swifterer I may pick a similar low key but official 10k before this. I think the Birchwood jizz gift is a bath towel rather than a medal, but I kind of like this idea.

I did the Birchwood 10k and got that very towel !!

it was 'turquoise blue' - jolly nice embroidery and a good race too.

I may of averaged one a year since Sugden's inception, but I'm aware there was quite a spell that I can't remember much about during this time.

It'll be my age in a couple of weeks. I'm going the Adele route and adopting an age related naming convention.

Not a Rossi man, although my last bike was a Yam. Ducati is the future for me.

Great targets.

The running is easy if you loose lots of weight, whilst the 300 C&J should be easier if you're heavier. Do you think you will be able to manage them at the same bwt/time?

Tough call, and a good question. I think the answer is 'I hope so'. Initially I'll get back down to 85k and see how things lie. I can't see me putting on weight just to do the lifts and if anything as long as the weight I'm losing is the kind I want to lose I don't see 85k as a lower limit. It does increase the size of the question mark over the heavier lifting though. I'm well aware that many of the goals are antagonistic of each other. We'll see.

A fine list - and if I may say so: antagonistic goals are half the fun. Happy

Thanks guys.

Ed - as we'll never catch Jon over 10k should we challenge him to a 2-1 boxing match instead? (I actually typed '3 way' before realising that wasn't what I meant)

I think antagonistic training has many merits for the ageing gentleman Chris. Should give a more evenly spread fitness level over all principles as opposed to one or two. That's the theory anyway.

Just got back from Parkrun #12. It was a non stop plod in a very slow, but could have gone a little bit faster kind of way. Cobwebs dusted.
