People shouldn't speculate online as to what drugs top guys use IMO - such info could potentially ruin potential sponsorship opportunity. I don't care cos I'm a recreational lifter. But have some respect for the guys at the top of their game.

Ed is one of the most exciting strongman personalities of recent years.

I could not care less if and what he put into his system. His body/his choice.

The world of British strongman and strongman in general is much brighter with Ed in it.

Many different ways to live and more than 1 way to waste a life. Most of us sacrifice quality for quantity. Let me say, Most old people i speak to wish they had done more and taken more risk...

As the song goes, did you exchange a walk on part in war...for a lead role in a cage?

Moreover, who the hell is anyone to tell someone else how to live if they are harming none.

I am 100% behind Ed and wish him all the spoils of his sacrifices.

Ok so out of interest who on here would be willing to risk their health if they thought they could realistically win wsm??
I think I'd shorten my life expectancy to go down as the strongest man on the planet

If I had no kids, then I would. To be fair I took my fair share of more harmful substances than peds In my youth.

I love Ed and hope he wins major titles. However I think Brian will dominate for a few years guys. (Sorry Donnie)

It depends what you call risking your health.

Things like needing TRT for rest of life then fine yeah, of course I would do it. Anything that can be monitored and treated fairy easily is worth it in my opinion.

Risk in the sense that your heart may suddenly stop or your liver may fail at any given time within now and the next 30 years then no, I doubt it.

It's a tough call. Do as the likes of the best do and have health risks and possible long term implications, doing the best to minimise the damage or live a 'normal' life, bearing in mind in either scenario you could be hit by a bus tomorrow or diagnosed with terminal illness next month.

People will perceive it in different ways.

Just watched it, thought it was brilliant! I found it inspiring and showed the good sides to strongman!

I also saw myself in the background a few times so I'm claiming film star status haha.

You know you grow from insulin and that's the only reason I've grown ?
Nothing to do with 7,000 calories a day 7 days a week religiously or 23 hours a week in the gym, consistently. I'm telling you I have never and would never use insulin, the risks far out weigh the benefits. As I've said gossip and a little bit of knowledge.

I was lucky enough to be at the red carpet premiere of the film
In London

Great film: emotional, eye opening and inspirinational. Having been friends with Eddie for many years now and also had the pleasure of competing and training with him over that time, it was still very interesting and revealing to watch

Helped light a bit more of my renewed fire and I think it could inspire new blood as well as old timers like me in any sport.
