Member 5548, 415 posts SQ 270, BP 157.5, DL 310737.5 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | Height/weight ratios Properly measures myself the other day and am taller than I thought.. This got me thinking that in terms of being strong is there and optimal ratio in terms of height and body weight. I've never been to a powerlifting comp before so unsure is there a rough size per weight class..

Dave Carter for instance was at his best at 90kg, yet he is 6 foot tall and ought to have been heavier if you go off optimal heights.

what is everyone's fran time? Member 3986, 10450 posts SQ 340, BP 200, DL 400940.0 kgs @ 129kgs Eq | The more lean mass you have the better, there isn't an optimal amount for strength.

Lost his pen, then found his pen. #phew Member 4899, 2956 posts | I believe the old advice is to keep gaining weight until your total stops going up. In real life there is more to it of course - but as has been said, that is the gist of it.

I wouldn't just gain mass for sake of it though, it should be slow and driven by lifts going up. no point doing a dreamer bulk to put 10kg on total and 3 inches on the gut. thinking of real world examples of world class lifters: coan - 5'6" 100kg bridges - 5'2" 82.5kg khudyarov - 5'8" 'light' 125kg lilliebridge - 6'0" 140kg

AKA the great reset Member 4056, 5207 posts | A 260 squat is not too shabby. Honestly though, to squat over a 1000lb is freaky. Also what age is Eric? Is he not like 25 or something?
