Rousey is a troll.

She is afraid of going toe-to-toe with Fallon Fox, but stated that on the right day she could beat Cain Velasquez.

Of course you could, love.

Rogan is good colour commentator, but a drug-addled, conspiracy theorist, pisspoor comic - with virtually no understanding of biological science. It is probably safest to listen to what he says - then assume a diametrically opposed position.

If I was Rousey, I'd probably be reluctant to fight anyone who was once a man; but, she comes across as about as well thought out, consistent and reasonable in her statements as a WWE wrestler.

I've always been amazed how much people care about others being gay, transexual, religious or any other sort of social group. I genuinely don't understand it, I really don't care what someone else does as long as they aren't hurting anyone else. I don't support this 'they can't do that because it offends me' either. I read somewhere that its like saying someone eating a cake offends you because you're on a diet.

Question though, what do people make of the huge amount of publicity and award for bravery that Kaitlyn Jenner has received?

with all due respect I think if you are going to drop a bomb like that you probably should name names and have good reason to back up your accusation.

thanks for the callout will, i realise it was a little cold to generalise like that. apologies, but i don't think names are needed. and tbh they aren't even my favourite members, they are simply folks who i used to actively check up on in topics, threads and journals.

i come from a collection of communities, and this is the last one to encounter such an 'issue' where a trans woman wants to come out. lots of obvious jokes coming out, which i'm hoping are all simply jokes. each to their own though.

i don't even like the term 'tolerant' as someone does not need to 'tolerate' someone else. even 'acceptance' as a term implies they require peer approval on their own life choices.

I'm tolerant of most things/people as long as they don't adversely affect others. Someone choosing to undergo a sex change harms no one and has zero effect on anyone but themselves.

Well that's 1000% wrong. It will effect friends and family massively. He has kids do you not think any action he takes. Not just his choice to live as a women and a man will effect them. He/she should still do what ever they want but people are going to disagree and have an opinion

Matt/Janae seems happy - good luck to her

It has been my experience that acceptance of LGBTQ people is often - Sugden's easygoing males aside - more prevalent among females, than males.

However, I for one am always amused when women get on their high horse about trans people in sport.

All sense of "togetherness" and "sisterhood" goes out the bleeding window, when someone viewed as a potential winner comes strolling around the corner. Regardless of their performance up to that point.

I don't really see how it effects friends. Kids yeah that's fair enough but he isn't going to stop being their parent because his gender is different.
