At the least i know for myself it made a big difference. Now i am pretty easily holding over 300lbs without being on anything, where as even force feeding myself 5lb of meat and fish a day, i was struggling to hold 250lb and i had problems with my kidneys that nearly killed me. 1000 years of people eating meat??? That could of been potential just a few generations for our bodies to adapt?? It's been 1000s upon 1000s of years

still a devious weightlifting bastard Member 43, 14374 posts | PaulSavage said: That's nothing, the dinosaurs were on earth 66 million years, us just 200 thousand. Bit longer than that Paul. They largely became extinct around 66 mya, but their dominance through the Mezozoic era goes back almost 200my before this spanning the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. It was only recently whilst in Warrington museum that I learnt that the Cretaceous period was named from the word Creta meaning chalk. I don't know what I thought it meant. After a life time of interest in the subject you'd think I would have found out. I learned a lot about the Carboniferous period too. If I liked insect a bit more I think it would have been my favourite period, but I don't so it isn't. Warrington really is a seat of knowledge.

Member 2775, 6927 posts | unit94 said:Paul how good is deadlifting the inch dumbbell? Isn't many guys that can do the 78kg if lifting it level. With tilt it's a lot easier. The top guys on it will do double figure reps like but really good grip guys like david horne struggle with doing it both hands. I have never been that good with it, got bit bigger hands than david but always had relatively weak thumbs and it's basically a test of thumb strength. My best level lifting is the 81kg inch they used to have at osg for 3 singles each hand. Slightly thicker handle than regular inch and 3kg heavier so not terrible but not great either. The top guys on it all tend to have giant hands which means they can wrap the thumb over the fingers, which is where it trys to spin out of your hand so of course they have a huge advantage.
