So a drugs free for all based on aesthetics rather than performance shows many to be average guys when not competing anymore. I don't think that's really a surprise is it?

Brian dobson said it a number of times, is in ronnies dvd / dvd's. He gave ronnie a free membership at the gym just to see what he was capable of. Not everybody has the same genetics.

oh i know i have heard it before but its clearly hyperbole

Boar said:on a personal level, im delighted to be well out of the game and feel bad for anyone caught in the trap of having to keep using to stay big and/or strong

Good fun while it lasts though

I wish more would be as open and honest as this. I have had many private conversations along these lines which helped me make the decision never to go down that path. not many people are willing to post openly about it though.

I think the problem is, very few come off totally, whilst a lot don't come off at all - so don't have the experience to relay as bore has

The biggest and worst part of coming of totally is the psychological aspect, both with regards to training and every day life.

The latter being the most important aspect, and one which should be discussed widely

Everybody takes stuff, there's 50 guys at any local gym around that take a bunch of gear. None of them are champions.

I bet there's 100 natty lifters who aren't champions either to the 50 who use gear and aren't champions.

Care to go a bit deeper in regard to everyday life?

General well being
Libido

Having an unnaturally elevated testosterone level makes you feel f**king great

The antithesis of having f**k all testosterone for the six months or so post coming off (if on long term) is pretty terrible lol

I know a guy who, a good 3-4 years of being clean, still doesn't think his libido has returned to pre usage levels (obviously getting older will have a part too play in this)

The reason bodybuilders can stay ripped and eat s**t has little all to do with genetics.

High doses of hgh and tren A is the reason a lot of these guys stay in shape.

Read Gh15 guys. Will open your eyes to bodybuilding and their lifestyles.

Not at that age, his metabolism will have slown with age just like everybody else. This is what he himself said, he couldnt get over 5% bodyfat eating pizza and icecream all day due to his genetics.

Come on Paul - "couldn't get over 5%" - dude, he may have been very lean and muscular but something has to give unless either he WAS on something early, he was lying, or he was a f**king X-Man.

Your not really understanding. He was less than 5% bodyfat with 20" arms and everything else big before he ever took anything and he ate burgers, pizza, icecream etc only 200g protein a day. That was the first time he went to metroflex gym, he was told there and then by the owner that he could be mr olympia. At this point he didnt even know you needed to eat more protein to gain muscle. This is 1 in a million genetics.
Edit - you don't think after another 10 years of deadicated natural training actually knowing what he was doing, eating right, doubling his protein intake etc that he couldn't gain another 2 inch on his arms or whatever on other body parts?

I try and eat 200 grams of protein per day too

Same here

Add to that low energy as well and it was a very miserable time for me coming off

12+ months later now for me and starting to feel a bit more normal but not like I used to feel pre-PED usage.

I can certainly agree that nothing feels as good as hitting PB's ..training hard day in / day out .... generally feeling indestructible

I know quite a few guys at work etc that take gear just for this reason , but they have never really thought about stopping , some of them say they are coming off ....what they mean is : taking a month or so off to convince themselves that their body is recovered

the real mindf**k is knowing you are never going to be reaching for the top of the wardrobe ever again !!

I feel great now although losing weight is tough .....mabie just one quick cycle to sort me body out .....

a 40 mile cycle !!

Lol.

It's refreshing to hear this stuff from Boar, robbo and JC. In the past people always seem to justify aas use. Somehow.
One of the reasons I resisted dabbling is because I thought I'd not be able to stop once I'd started. Used to see people start training at the gym (where I'd been training for years and years) and get bigger than me within a few months (with big round faces too) and get pissed off. Then a month later they were back to 11 stone. Frustrating to see people making more 'progress'(?) when you've put years of hard work in the gym.
But this makes me quite glad I resisted, despite being tempted loads. Especially when I trained in a big bodybuilding gym.

There are so many guys on TRT , which seems perfectly safe , that it probably makes it easier to stay on full time ..... TRT doesn't appear that bad so I guess its not hard to convince yourself .... the doses are gonna make the difference

and don't forget peter, I have seen the contents of your cupboards you f**king hypocrite !
