Back in June 2013 I learnt about daily squatting and the strength gains associated with it. I read much about it and decided to have a crack at it. I'd just finished year 13 college and had the summer free, so why not commit everyday to the bar?

I'd pick a set/rep range, something like 5x5, 3x5, 10x2, 6x3 (6x3 was my favourite) and simply squat 6 days a week. After 1 month I shot up from 110kg to 130kg. Not to shabby for 1 month?

For reasons I can't really remember, I got side-tracked, lost focus of my goals and gave up...

So now 2 years later I've made pretty much f**k all progress on my squat...And that brings me to this. Having reminisced the gains I made, I feel more motivated than ever to get back into the swing of daily max squatting. Being more knowledgeable on the subject, and having put together what will hopefully be a better game plan, lets see if I can push the kilos up a bit more!

Things to note: I am a high-bar, atg, olympic style squatter. Adidas Power Perfect II shoes. Predominantly beltless.

Best backsquat 170kg @88kg with belt and SBD knee sleeves.

Current stats: 92kgBW, 5'11", 20 years old.

I'm a big fan of frequent squatting. I hope it goes well for you, it's something I might give a go myself in a few months.
Good luck.

Interesting log.

Are you not a bit screwed if you fail a lift while doing very high frequency training?

Also your squatting in the future

I shouldn't be failing a lift, however I only tried it due to the speed of the 140kg rep. I guess I was being a bit ambitious!

Went to see the GP about chronic compartment syndrome and when I said it developed from squatting she asked "what's a squat?"

lol...okay. Anyway I've been referred to a physio but it will take time as I'll be on a waiting list.

In other news, it's been 7 days since I last squatted and the pain as calmed considerably so I did some front squats (for the purpose of using as little weight as possible while still being challenging)

100kg 5x5 - fairly easy. clean grip.
leg press 2x20, I don't get pain from this so I thought I might as well use it for now.

Front squat pr!

120kgx1 easy

I know my legs are good for more (130kg at least) but I'm lacking upper back strength at the moment. Any tips for improving this?

Did some back squats for the first time in 3 weeks.

140kgx1
150kgx1
150kgx1

Lost strength, but it should come back quick.
