Its not uncommon in bbing circles. But even there the idea is to use slin without developing diabetes.
Diabetes wont necessarily make using slin for gainz impossible, but it makes it a trickier proposion, not to mention if you have diabetes and continue to use insulin for none medical reasons you are dumb as f**k.

No, not really.
It's certainly more of a hindrance, especially when it comes to gaining (a lot) of weight, than anything else

Yeah, I've had a bit of a google since I posted that, seems it's really a lot of work as a diabetic. It can be difficult to both build muscle and burn fat dependent on circumstances.

This has reminded me that I need to go and get myself tested for diabetes.

Having to force feed myself for close to a decade to put/keep weight on doesn't seem like such a good idea in hindsight.

I struggle to get lean even with a very low calorie diet

I can get much leaner with high calorie, zero carb (and therefore very few injections), but it isn't a long term (over 12 weeks) sustainable diet plan imo

from what I can gather, McMuffin was alluding to diabetics using insulin to promote gainz, rather than the use of insulin...

like JC has stated the supposed benefits of insulin are severly outweighed by being diabetic in terms of making gains or getting lean. I'm type one and it took me a long time to getto the stage of veing able to get stage ready for bodybuilding without constantly suffering hypos.

Whilst I don't suffer from diabetes I have had a few strange episodes post workout.

It's usually if I've used a lot of caffeine I find but on a few occasions I have got home from the gym and perhaps 20 minutes since I finished training have very quickly gone extremely dizzy, confused, cold but sweating profusely and had an enormous urge to eat.

Whenever I have had this (which has been about 6-8 times in the last year and a half) I simply devour masses of food as if it's some sort of survival instinct and within 5-10 minutes of eating I start to feel normal. Could this be low blood sugar? Is that similar to a Hypo?

It's strange and to begin with bloody scary, I didn't know what was happening, although it hasn't happened for months now

I doubt you'll have issues here mate cause you did all that in your 20's. Plus, what were you like? 110ish at over 6 foot? You won't have done much long term damage there.

You're also very fit and active these days so your risk of type II DM is low.

I have also had these symptoms following certain pwo drinks. Whatever that carb source is in a few of them makes me feel hypo(??) half an hour later.
