when I was in limehouse I commuted an hour to get to a half decent gym, but then I was never very aware of what was going on around me.

I think they need to redo the platforms properly as they are falling apart as they are made up mostly of sand. Sport St Mary's are pretty hopeless most of the time as well which is why I train @ TAE now.

Haha yeah that sounds about right. They all started falling apart a few months after they opened it up, whoever designed the floor had no clue what they were doing. The old gym was so much better, had a real good atmosphere.

I just had a look round the gym in Putney. By far the best gym I have even encountered.

Is that Physical Culture? I'd agree with your verdict Happy

Only downsides I would say is that it gets packed in the evenings weekdays - but people are generally good about sharing equipment and space and smart enough not to get in your way - and is pretty warm in summer. Otherwise I'd recommend it to anyone doing PL or WL in London - I come half way across London to train there and it's worth it. Equipment is 2nd to none, loads of plates, good atmosphere and some decent lifters there.

You only come for a chat anyway! Grin

:P

True dat! Even though most of the crowd is around half my age so much of the conversations go over my head!

IDK how you do that TBH. Training Sun around 2 messes my strength up enough. But I'm not a morning person so not surprising.
