I am currently without a belt. I have also been made aware that there's some belt that's no longer allowed. In addition to this information, I am seeking a new belt.

Is there a belt that will make me squat and deadlift more? Preferably also convenient and aesthetic?

Inzer Forever lever belt is the best in my opinion (and I've pretty much seen / used them all)
13mm over 10mm (I have both and only use the 10mm for benching)

They are a bit on the pricy side to get over here though, inzershop.de seems to be the best price at the moment.

SBD are launching their own belt soon, which will no doubt be of very good quality. They are supposed to be using their own design of buckle which gives greater fitting options.

May be worth holding off until they hit the market....?

anyone tried the inzer PR belt - looks to have the benefits of a lever belt but flexibility to adjust depending upon the lift?

The Inzer PR is probably a very good belt, but as I'm sure you are aware, not IPF legal!

I have an Inzer 13cm lever belt, I've had it nearly 10 years, worn it 3-4 times a week every week since I bought it and it's as good as new. I got it from Andy Bolton when he was selling Inzer equipment. It was around £80 at the time but it was the best investment in powerlifting kit I've ever made. I reckon that's about 5p for every time I've used it.

So basically what isn't allowed?

I have a bench only comp next month so don't really need a belt for that because I don't even bother arching, but I will need one for April to do a full comp

was going to say much the same, except i have a 10mm thick one. never tried a 13mm version. just watch though, some of these are un-branded so wouldn't be allowed under IPF now. i wont pass comment as i am not in the gbpf anymore but just make sure you get one with the brand on it. mine wouldnt pass.
