I was interested in what Colin said about Ted Van Der Parre (1992 winner) not even being able to squat 200kg. OK, squatting at 7' tall must be bloody awkward, but that's ridiculously weak!

Shame we didn't get to see Brant, Wildauer and Caron.

I think the only solution to what happened with Burke on the stones was a re-run. I didn't like the fact that he was given the first stone. When are they going to sort out these platform issues? Grin

Can someone get a gif of shaw's face after thor's keg toss? lol.

Amazing final. Probably the best I've seen since I started watching from 1998.

I hope Ed continues to improve on the more typical strongman events. We all know about his static strength. Cool

Was a good watch. Seeing Big Z move weights like he does is absolutely mental, did he wear a squat suit?

And a random one, has Colin Bryce done SM before or does he just know stuff about the sport?

The competition was obviously awesome, however I was disappointed by the production. You would not of known 8 of the guys took part. Not even anything at the beginning introducing them or anything.

I think they need to make the final a 1 and a half hour show to do it justice.

Think how much more impact Shaw's Keg toss run would of had if we had seen 8 of the best guys in the world go before him and not complete it.

Yes I agree ..

All I ever hear about Worlds Strongest Man is that its a TV production ! Its all about the TV ! Yeah BUT what you've got to understand is its just a TV show !!

Really ? Then why not just have 6 guys in the final so you can see them ? What does having 3-4 guys that you don't even get to see add to this TV production ? I'm not sure ?

90 minute TV show ? Two one hour shows ? or 8 guys in the final ?

Was the weight of the dumbbell correct? If so I am very surprised that so many guys (some of whom are pretty decent pressers) struggling so badly with a 105kg dumbbell.

I really enjoyed the show and can't see anyone coming close to the top 3 next year.

its more to do with the size of that dumbell mate deffo . I played with Hixxys bell Tongue and its not heavy but its awkward . People as wide as Eddie would be better putting the dumbell beside his ear and not behind his head as you get a lot more power through the bell.

Great final..best I can remember

As an aside from the top 3, there is no doublt in my mind that Terry is the greatest Brit of all

Little training and prep for WSM, well short of his best, but still 5th best in the world!!! Speaks voulmes for how good he really has been IMO
