The Olympic lifting has f**ked me up .. I've never felt so week

Plan going in was Squat 250kg x 5 - 3 Sets & Deadlift 275kg x 5 - 3 sets

No chance

All I could manage was

Sq 250kg x 2

Dl 275kg x 5


Spent - aching demoralised old broke need holiday and uncomfortably horny

Second answers the first.

As much as I'd love to see you weightlifting again, I would say stay well clear, it will only distract you from what is supposed to be your focus nowadays. Start chasing big snatches and jerks and you jeopardise progress on your SM stuff, both through possible injury/niggles and by getting pissed off if the WL stuff doesn't go as you want. You should stick to what you've set as your main goals and keep focused, and that comes from an out and out weightlifter Wink

Despite calling me a spastic at every opportunity I'm going to have to agree with my moon headed comrade. Olympic movements are not where you're going and with your strength levels the weights you are capable of are bound to leave you a tad tender afterwards, at best. Me and Jeff are lucky enough to have got weak enough that our top weights aren't killers for us, and it still hurts. It's great fun, but not if you can't walk properly until sometime next week x

No mate ... Still been training but my phone was out of action for about a week and I fell out of the routine of posting my training ..

I've been trying to learn new stuff and it's been hard work .. On the squat I'm trying to get used to using a belt and knee wraps as well as this stiff powerlifting bar and I'm not good at learning new things .

The other day I wore a belt on Deadlift for the first time ever also .

Just doing lots of confidence building on squats really and Deadlift and Bench has took a bit of a back seat but i will pull the deadlift suit out again at Xmas maybe ..
