Your bench potential is huge. Not that your other lifts are exactly weak spots...

Knee Wraps Squats

1 x Wrapped Knees
1 x Wrapped Knees

Little Cry

60kg x 3
100kg x 3
140kg x 1 Wrapped :-(
180kg x 1 Wrapped :-(
220kg x 1 Wrapped :-(
250kg x 1 Wrapped :-(

I`d say at this starting point that it feels about 10kg harder to squat in the wraps than out of them BUT ive great advise from the lads ..

Gaz Squats 370kg Sam 340kg Marsden 300kg+ .. They all know they`re s**t . Keep going next week

Bench Press

60kg x 5
100kg x 5
140kg x 5
160kg x 10 - P.B -


I honestly think that 90% of people who struggle with wraps just arent putting them on tight enough. The f**kers.should be painful to squat in...

Err I probably meant both to be honest -

they know "their" stuff and they know "they are" s**t ! But they can squat in knee wraps and suits and all that gig .

Yeah the bench is ready to go 230kg over the next few months I think. I've worked hard at it though mate . .. The long 5 second pauses we was doing in the start of the year really have give tons of power from the chest and I beg anyone and everyone to give these a try - they are immense .

I've had two sessions in the last two weeks where I felt like something massive was there .. 180kg x 5 the other day and 160kg x 10 yesterday . Crazy easy .. Both feel like 180kg x 10 could go really soon (next 6 weeks) plus I bench like a nob with no clue really I could try arching and mess around with my grip but I'm gonna wait till next year I think ..

I don't really hold the mentality that you throw something on and it adds kgs .. It'll take a few sessions to get used to it but eventually I'll get 20kg out of them . Inzer DL was the same but I persisted and things will happen with that soon .

Personally I don't think it's just a case of always tighter is better especially when I've got an event like squat 250kg where anything upto 15 reps could be achieved ..

But I respect your input and opinion . You've had great results in your squatting recently , I'm always watching :-)

Anyways

The 105kg Champions League isn't on now so it paves the way for a better build up to London's Strongest man which I'm looking forward too ..

It fits perfect with my plan because me and the lad I train with agreed we would just get strong again up until the end of December then in the new year start hitting events . It's static which is what I need at the moment .

Really saddens me that what should be a fantastic 105 comp has had to be cancelled due to lack of interest!

Re the knee wraps I reckon I get 40kg, maybe more, out of mine....

Tighter is definitely better. You may not be able to feel your legs, but you'll get more reps.

I wouldn't take squat advise off me, though.

'I reckon' is logic of your best Sugden buddy. You don't know until you try. Wink I reckon you could squat 300kg without wraps if you had a period of training for it.

Right I'm gonna admit something now mate .. I don't really squat my weights Eek

I just go down fast and when the bar oscillates back up I just stand up dead quick ..

Wearing knee wraps takes away my cheat method and reduces me back into having to do an actual squat ! I hate that .

I'm proud of what I've done mate but until I leave my Olympic Weightlifting mentality in the past then I'm just never going to achieve anything ..

I'm not going into a comp again and losing to people because I'm too stubborn to wear Wraps/Straps/Suit/Belt whatever the f**k !
