But you aren't doing anything at all to help your foot heal

Says who? Am doing loads to help it heal. I avoid anything that hurts it as much as i possibly can, i take anti inflams, i ice it, i take supplements to aid bone health and i stay off it whenever possible. There's nothing more i could do.

Except actually staying off it, you just don't do your hobby that involves it much. You still walk, work, refuse to wear a cast or support or use crutches etc.

You keep going with what works for you, mate.
The rest of us will just keep doing it wrong.

I know a bunch of strongmen who do the strongman events and bodybuilding for training, this is what i think is best. One of these strongmen is the current british and uk champ, another is the current world champ / regarded by many as the strongest man in history.

When your girlfriend is about to be off work for months and probably wont have a job to come back to, it would not be wise to quit your own job, especially when its a job you have had for 10 years and really value. Thats not an option. Wearing a cast or support would make it worse, any pressure on it hurts. I have used crutches at times.

As asked previously - will you lose your job because you take paid sick leave? If so, sue.

Also I don't think you understand the purpose of casts or supports if you think they hurt because of the pressure on it and would be better off without it. Furthermore, "at times" doesn't mean always, and I suspect all those hour long fasted brisk walks in the morning (cold) would have been with crutches?

Brownbear, back me up Dr.

If i was supposed to wear a cast and be on crutches the doctors would have told me to do that. Brownbear has already said there's not much you can do to help a stress fracture heal. I understand my recovery isnt the perfect way of doing it but the world isnt perfect, you cant always have everything how you want.

I'm puzzled as to why you cant strict press with a sore foot?

I've done strict press with a foot in plaster!

I don't see how a strict press with 100k would be any more detrimental to your foot than 100k front squats.

Press - static movement from te waist down.
Front squat - large ROM in knees and ankles lending itself to more balance and thus transference of weight throughout your feet.

Confused

Because the press would be pretty heavy and the front squat was really light and controlled with no pressure on front of foot / you would understand if you had my foot

Who evers foot I had, there is more pressure on the front of a foot during a front squat than with a strict press, and 100k weighs the same regardless of the exercise it's being used on.

Back of next week it should actually be easier on your foot as you'll have lost a bunch of b/fat so will have less weight on it. I'd take that bet. It's in the bag.

There was no pressure on the front of the foot it was all on my heels. You really think if it wasnt going to hurt it i wouldnt just do it? It's free money
