Don't have either to hand and back is on fire. Gone done did something to my shoulder and now back is burning. Any suggestions? 3:18 am and supposed to be up for work tomorrow morning.

Moist heat brother. Pain killers crushed into the finest dust. Put it in juice and drink.

This is what I do. You can do it if you want. I am a wimp. I am imperfect. I am old. I live in pain for the fight. I cannot sleep well. Just to lay on the bench to do bench press hurts. I stretch all the time drink lots of water and stretch. It takes me 10 minutes to put on my socks. I am happy though for some unknown reason to myself. I do not do painkillers unless i cannot stand it anymore. Maybe twice a week.

A rolling pin is a good alternative to a foam roller; the old timers would have their wives use a rolling pin on their back when it became stiff and sore.

Cheers. I found a rolling pin and hard tennis balls. Offered quite a bit of relief.

Luke - I was rolling on the carpet, but not rolled up. Does underlay make it too soft?

Roll away! Soreness versus pain. Have your nanny give you some child's tylenol. Get an MRI. Let them tell you what you want to hear so you can walk around like a spoiled brat. Place the removed parts in a baby food jar with for melihyde and show your friend on your shiny carpet or change.

I have a 66 fit blue foam roller which I need to upgrade

1. its now bowed in the middle

2. I can't get enougth pressure on my Quads, Calf or Tibialis.

Just tried with the rolling pin on those areas and my what relief it has given.

Great advice ty.

Foam rollers are great but I use a 6" bar to roll my back. It weighs about 100 pounds. But if your really hurting foam roller is not enough. The carpet crap is for talkers. We use mats in this neck of the woods.

Standard 2L pop bottle full of water (so you don't fizz up the pop and shoot the lid through your kids) works great in a pinch.

My back hurts only when I don't train. Go lighter. Pop? What is pop?

A great thing to use is 2 tennis balls taped together with some insulation tape.
