I was in this exact situation a few months ago. The answer is you can't. Anything for less than 500 quid will be bendy and break within a matter of weeks

Edit: plus youl be down £500 and will never ever get anything more than its scrap value back

Texas power bar seems like the logical choice,

How did your Okie bend ravens? Rack Pulls?

The Texas power bar is pretty bendy. I'm not entirely sure what bent the okie bar but I only used it for squat bench and deadlift and the most it ever had on it was 240

My research into this concluded two options.

Either -

Cheapest suitably rated bar you can find (£150)

Or

Eleiko Powerbar

Anything in between is a waste of money.

Pretty much this. Its either a really cheap bar bar from Jordan fitness etc thats 32mm, so doesnt bend because its thicker. Cheap but s**tty bars, knurling can be a bit iffy on them and wont last as long and repetitive dropping beats them up pretty quick. Otherwise its a premium bar like an eleiko/ivanko that are about £1k.

For what its worth I wouldn't bother with that black ivanko on pullums thats £500ish, everyone seems to put it across as a cheaper option. It's really flexy and pretty much a WL bar just with sharper knurling. There's a chrome competition ivanko thats a bit cheaper than an eleiko PL bar, thats a really good bar but the price is close enough you may as well just get the eleiko!

I was under the impression the TPB were stiff.

I know it's different but an axle doesn't tend to flex much, and if you use straps..?

Strengthshop have cheap ones in various diameters.

Haven't a clue what people are doing with their bars!!

Anyone who breaks a TPB or Okie bar must be dong something wrong.

They do bend a little with over 300kg on it but so it should do.

Of you want a very stuff bar then a 32mm squat bar would do it if it's a necessity.

No worries. I have all three okie bars but just tend to use my okie power bar for everything instead. I like it just as much as the Elekio power bar I have used in the past.

I doubt you'll be disappointed with a TPB Happy

I've had 345 on my Texas bar and it's absolutely fine.
