Huge world record and for the fifth time in a row, Andrey Belyaev won the gold in deadlift at the Battle of Champions held in Arkhangelsk, Russia.

In his third attempt he did an easy lift on 395 kg, but due to a technical error the lift was not approved. This video is of his fourth attempt, where he clearly fixed his error and got the lift.

Shame he hasn't got bigger hands. He definitely has the strength to pull 400kg.
Always been my favourite lifter for deads.

Probably a lot less.

He is pulling on a Texas power bar, that significantly helps the off the floor part of the lift up to 25kg and one off the floor the lock out is the easiest part.

Texas deadlift bar actually, yeah I mean he only pulled 4.4 x body weight and that's with a bendy bar!
