Walk your talk Member 5, 25558 posts Administrator	great day out !!! icepick , good to chat to you mate ,hopefully see you down in bournmouth where you can help me nobble tonys deadlift. some great lifting today, joe didnt lift is best but he did very well (his bench shirt let him down at the 11th hour), got a commonwealth squat record and came third,so all in all a good days lifting ive been up since 5.30 and im f**ked !!! back sore from sitting down all day, but enough of that.

Would we have been looking at a 300 dead attempt in the 82s maybe? Hope to see you competing there next year! The best lifts of the day for me were the 310 deadlift by Ian Shaw, 310 by Dave Carter (although it was easy), plus there were a few grinder squats. Jas Singh was definitely the most impressive lifter and won the 82s by a country mile. Jerry Rice in the 90s was also looking very impressive but bombed on bench (missing lockout by about 1cm on his third attempt) - this also cost him his 305 commonwealth squat record which went to Joe Bullock instead as you have to total to get records. Now, onto the videos I took. The deadlifts all have weights and names with each video, the squats have none (I can't remember the weights but gave a rough indication). The benches have one or two labels on but again I can't remember much, plus watching bench videos is a bit boring anyway. No videos of Joe in these collections because I had to video his lifts on his camera for him. Squats Bench Deadlifts Some points of interest - Jas Singh sumo deadlifted in his squat suit back to front because he thinks it gives more ping off the ground this way. Dave Carter has an extremely narrow deadlift stance - his heels were practically touching, but his deadlift and the fact he has been British Champion sixteen times speak for themself!

Clive was Beastly in the 125+ (he weigh in at 125.8) with a 440/270/315 = 1015.....the squat was a world record! 440!! Fast and deep apparently!! Nice.
