or if i bench to a 3 board and bench 20 kg more would I be stronger? Would gaining a power belly and cutting down my ROM but different to benching to a 3 board?

I feel the motivation for this thread inevitably comes down to one of those three.

if you squat 200kg to depth in competition, then next comp you squat 210kg high but it gets passed because youre a fat american, did you get stronger?

Yes, he is now stronger. He has gone about it in an inefficient way though.

No he is not stronger, the extra weight lifted is due to the shorter range of motion, not a strength increase.
