Thanks, shame i cant go more than a few weeks withoutgetting hurt. Pressing is what im best at genetically even with long arms although so many injuries have stopped me doing what i should be at.

the gym is amazing, thats only part of the downstairs alot of people take the gym for granted

You need to stop all that rolling the bar around, and putting your hips up and down s**t. Looks like its throwing your form off big time. Just imo.

Ok cant sleep because im so sore so will do a quick write up,

First event was duck walk steeple chase, 200x20m with a knee height platform in the middle to put it over, then same on way back. never done a duck walk so just tried to copy what the big guys did the day before tech wise. felt ok up until about 5m left then legs felt like jelly, fell over a few times but still completed the course albeit not fast, think i was 4th on this.

Second event , car deadlift not sure on weight but wasnt too heavy. Felt about 260ish but maybe thats just because my legs were dead from first event.

Was in second last pairing with 10 to beat so far, but Dan cave was after me and i knew hes a good deadlifter. did 12 easy without stopping then tore open right hand, rested a bit and did a couple more. everyone was tearing their hands open which cost some people reps i think. Ended up at 14 reps which was enough for 1st.

Third event , scrum machine. New event for pretty much everyone but the more i did the more i got hang of it, won all my bouts then was in final with the giant sean o hagan, who has 80kg bodyweight on me, so tried to be smart and forfeited without trying to save energy. Thought id be near bottom on this because i was lightest there but got 2nd.

half way point Sean leading 20.5, myself on 20 and Dan cave on 16

4th event was log for max, was a bit annoyed with myself on this tbh as i thought id strggle to clean and press anything i got up, when the oppositte happened.Did 100 110 120 130 135 then failed 140 , suprised at that tbh as i can press alot more normally but fatigue and sore knees/quads/torn hand made me perform sub par but il learn from mistakes for next time. 2nd place

5th event , power stairs. Another event iv never tried and wasnt looking forward to it with my body seizing up and hand messed up, but gave it a shot anyway. Got it finished in a pretty slow time, but only three of us completed it so still came 3rd.

Going into last event, points so close !
Me and big sean tied on 33, and dan on 32. So whoever won stones was winner pretty much, not good for me because im awful on stones and today was no different. Failed first stone on first attempt by using wrong technique then pressed it up next attempt, next couple felt ok but had no energy left and couldnt load the fourth, awful performance which i need to adress,Last placeUnhappy

So overall Dan and sean were tied on 39 with dan winning on countback , and myself third with 35 i think?

Loved the experience and meeting alot of guys ive watched on tv since i was a kid , all the guys were top class and very helpful. Hope to do it again in future except next time i need to learn how to do the events!
