Unbelievably strong.

This is why I have him as comfortable winner at WSM. Might try and find a betting site that is doing odds.

Best deadlifter at the moment. I would actually say strongmen are currently the best deadlifters with Benni and Bolton not pulling anything huge recently. I did see the 400kg by Benni and it looked good.

Lets say there was a $100,000 prize money for the biggest deadlift in one months time, I think it would be fought out between 4-5 guys...Benni, Shaw, Savickas, Hollands and potentially Kokyleav. 4 out of the 5 are strongmen. I do not know the form of Andy Bolton though.

Lmao at the guy recording. I think he wanted Shaw to lift it more than Shaw wanted to lift it.

But how much can they pull to pl standards remains to be seen, not taking anything away but i think you are ruling out lifters such as Odell Manuel,Olemchenko,Vince Urbank etc

His deadlift wasn't hugely hitched, I actually think he hitched it because he could. His grip is the best on the planet, holding the bar will never be a problem for him.

i started using straps on deadlift to save my grip/hands for other events, bcos of the different grip i want to get used to pulling how i wud in a comp so train with doh/straps

No point risking his previously ruptured bicep and not to risk cutting up his hands. He trains with Mike Burke who went and destroyed a load of grip records. Shaw said his grip is better and there is also a vid on his youtube where he picks up a 'blob' and a grip expert says on the youtube comments absolutely no one else on the planet is even close to doing that.

Shaw has the best grip on the planet!

Plenty can pick up the blob

Though I agree with your general point, I doubt his grip would limit his deadlift

Email him and let him know. Maybe if he then pulls 470kg or even 500kg he'll dedicate it to you. Or maybe Brian Shaw, maybe knows a thing or two about lifting up Heavy s**t.

This was a 65lb much larger blob nicknamed 'blobzilla' by the americans, and he lifted it 'the hard way' something nobody else has managed to do. This however, is laregly due to handsize. His grip is very strong but strongest in the world i think no.

SICK deadlift!!
