Intermediate comps?

I work as a boner Member 3115, 490 posts SQ 240, BP 140, DL 300680.0 kgs @ 132kgs Eq | Why are there not many intermediate comps ran, and have there always been a lack of them? I placed recently in a novice comp and would like to progress onto intermediates, however you hardly see any being run. It seems the trend to run either novice or open. Thing is after placing it would feel shallow to keep doing novice, but most opens just seem too far out of my reach. Don't get me wrong it's not the fact of feeling the need to place that stops me, I just don't fancy doing comps where I'd not score in more than one event. | ||

Member. Member 2171, 1612 posts | I think there needs to be more comps like Salt Ayre Classic tbh, that allows people to choose challenging weights and be placed into a relevant category. Also, some guidelines as to what weight/distance/time should be classed as novice or inters when setting a comp. Without this we have novice comps with log medley from 60-90kg compared to 100kg for reps in another novice comp. Clearly both are a different standard but classed as novice | ||
