 Trump will get another four years Member 126, 16707 posts SQ 160, BP 110, DL 225495.0 kgs @ 75kgs UnEq | not at all. just think of the probabilities. the sequence of events that would have to occur for that virus to pop up in that location naturally is far outweighed by the likelihood of it coming from the lab - in my opinion of course. we will all weigh it up differently but to dismiss any narrative at this point would be foolish. and dont forget the additional questions raised about its genetic heritage and the kind of experiments they were running there. and we havent even touched on the ccp's suspicious actions regarding the lab in the wake of the outbreak. that is another whole can of worms. | ||

Phone tracking app weirdly needs folks to be 2m apart for accuracy so I am told. an event like this is the authoritarians wet dream. the public are scared and, as a result of that, are willing to accept a level of government intrusion that they wouldnt under normal circumstances. problem is, once government takes on new powers it is often reticent to relinquish them even when the crisis that created the need for them is over. I just hope the british public is aware of this enough to push back on any overreach - the reaction to the overzealous policing we saw early on makes me hopeful that they will. | ||
