Actually you I was reading body building forum and there were guys on there saying that you couldn't get a 400lb bench natty, I was quite annoyed as I know it's perfectly possible and some smaller lifters can smash 400 easy.

I know a life long natty who benched 180kg within his first few weeks training then never came back.

Exactly it's almost like they're saying well I ain't managed it so nobody else could possibly do it. I'd like to get 200 raw.how long between training after a pb how long do you give yourself to recover and start your next phase? I've had two weeks and feel like I've had months off.

Ive always had 2 weeks.
1 week of rest ( if i can stay away from the gym)
1 weeks of sets of higher reps. then start again!

It can be done look at Aaron benching 230 @ 100! I find my bench press a killer to make any progress on ie training with high frequency and volume then peaking then potential injury etc. Some Guys on juice hardly even train but throw around heavy Bench like it's nothing, gear seems to really affect bench press more so than squats and deadlifts

This is true there are many awesome lifter here, I've seen the pin cushions you speak of too and it seems to me that they end getting really hurt or lose most of the strength they gain so they have to do it all again.

I wish this was true. These days my push press is almost on a par with my bench press!
If i dont bench regularly i drop to around a 3 plate bench in no time at all.

Their expectations are so low because the first plateau reached after beginner gains dry up and they jump on drugs. So they assume everyone banging out 180kg benches must be long into their druggy career... 'cruising on a gram to do that mate'

There are more androgen receptors in the upper body. Drugs help bench directly loads more than they help with squats and pulls.

This is my experience of most gyms I've ever been in. Little rat boys and tarty men injecting a variety of stacks, getting a big buffalo physique, then coming off gear and returning to little rats boys.

No idea how to train, eat or anything else. Inject drugs because it is the only way they know how. Don't even know how to hold onto their gains. It ruins the gyms because it means there is no one in there who actually has knowledge for me to learn from. Good gyms are sadly few and far between.

I've nothing against steroids at all, as long as they are being used at the right times for the right reasons.
